An Introduction
C’era una volta is the Italian equivalent of 'Once upon a time’.

My biographical essays are no fairy tale, but some aspects may sound surreal to those who are not familiar with my life story.
Over the years, I've enjoyed writing short snippets from my childhood for a limited audience on my Facebook page.
Many of my posts here will be reruns of those Facebook notes, slightly rewritten thanks to Grammarly, but not enough to alter my writing style.
I fully acknowledge I don't always abide by the rules. I never formally learned advanced English grammar and language structure, because I attended schools in Italy and Israel.
We spoke (a slightly Pidgin) English at home and everything else came to me through the infinite gift that is reading.
My writing style may not be perfect, but it is my own, so please bear with me.
What to Expect:
My posts will not be in chronological order, nor will they all be about my life. I might interrupt the flow with some genealogy deep dives, Roman history or Roman Jewish history, and anything else that captures my attention.
I will not be monetizing this newsletter (for the time being) but will include a ‘Buy me an espresso’ button. Please see it as a suggestion and not an obligation.
